The building was designed by the architect A. Plumistos in 1956 and today it houses the central services of the Ministry of Interior. The eight-storey mansion on Stadiou Street also has its own interesting history. When construction began, it had already been transferred from the State - which owned it until then - to the Church, on the basis of the agreement of September 1952, as recorded in the Government Gazette, and has been paying rent ever since. The State ceded 163 properties, most of them in the centre of Athens, Piraeus and Thessaloniki, in exchange for Church properties in various parts of the country. The Stadiou Mansion also hosts various shops on its ground floor as it is located in one of the most central points of the centre of Athens. It passes through the Tristrato Stoa that connects Stadiou, Dragatsaniou and Aristidou. It is a building that also distinguishes features of modern architecture such as the repetition of metal elements and glass windows . Known as, Megaro T.P.D.PC. it houses entirely services of the Ministry of Interior and more specifically the Central Directorate of Citizenship. It is a building where the modern element prevails. Key features are the repetition of the glazing as well as the metal elements in the face and the symmetry of the face. The paradox in this building is its entrance, which in no way resembles an entrance to a public service .According to the first architectural drawings, the spatial configuration looks quite clear and understandable as does the movement within the building. On the contrary, during our visit to the building this configuration was absent. It was built between 1955-65 and its architect is Anastasios Kalogeropoulos. It is a building with a particularly privileged position, since it is located near Syntagma Square and the Parliament.This building was formerly owned by the National Bank of Greece, while it is now entirely the home of the ministry. This is quite an interesting building. Its appearance with the elaborate decorations repeated on its balconies is one of its main features. Their entrance also with the details and decorations does not in any way precede the entrance to a building belonging to the government of the state. This imposing 20-storey building is located at 124 Kifissias Avenue and has a total area of 40,000 square metres. It was built by D. Ioannidis in 1980 and its original use was to host the Athens Exhibition Centre until the 1990s. It was then the headquarters of Allianz Insurance and today it hosts offices of other companies and services. The interior is suitably designed so that it can be converted into office space or large halls depending on the needs of the occupants. The Ministry of Finance has occupied the first 3 floors (1250 sqm each). The other storeys are home to the offices of EADAP, the TERNA group, HERON, etc. In the 16th level there are the offices of DAKON SA, which manages the property. Last but not least, the building includes 4 levels of underground parking for 500 cars. The Valadoros House is one of the few gems of the old neighbourhood of Vrysaki that still remains to this day. To the east is the ancient Roman market and a little further on the clock of Andronicus Kyrristos. To the west is the enclosed archaeological site of Thiseion, within which are the Hadrianic Aqueduct, the stoa of Attalos, the library of Pedanus and of course the temple of Hephaestus. The house itself is a fine example of Athenian neoclassical architecture and is assumed to have been built around the year 1900. It consists of three levels, two stories and a basement. In the courtyard there is an iconostasis of St. Matroni of Chiopolitis, an indication that it belonged to a Chiotis. Its ceramic and marble decoration is distinguished for its originality. We can assume from the surviving houses of this neighbourhood that it was quite affluent and enjoyed the view of the Acropolis, without being oppressed by the shadow and humidity of the Castle. The house today is exemplarily restored and is a landmark in the Rizokastro area. Unfortunately, those who see its walls as a canvas for unfolding their artistic nature with graffiti, or simply scribbling on another building that simply does not belong to them, will disagree with this. in a five-storey building in Mpoumpoulina's street in Exarchia. It is considered as an early modern architectural building and an example of erker's application (protruding volumes up to 1.40m from the level of the facade). It has two arcades and three internal open spaces, which provide lighting and ventilation to the 40 apartments and access to their entrances. It is characterised by structural simplicity and strict morphological expression. The lack of balconies was a bold architectural act, which indicated the architect's Central European influences and acceptance of modernist principles.
