The building on Mesogeion avenue that now houses the General Secretariat of Research and Innovation was built during the 1960. This is understood by its appearance because it looks like every other athenian “polykatoikia” of the era.
The Building itself has had many different uses throughout the years, but remarkably it was never a residential building. When it was first constructed it was used as the General Police building during the Military Junda of 1967-1974.
Before the Ministry of Development, the building was used from the Ministry of Education.
