The office building on the corner of Lykourgou and Athens streets was built for the account of the civil servants' share fund. It is a design by the architect Vasilios Couremenos and is an addition to an earlier neoclassical building. The renovation of the existing building was done with a modernist disposition with the aim of harmonizing it with the new functional and construction conditions, without however losing its classical aesthetics. The project displays elements of a search for Greekness, with the clay decorative elements, the multi-colored marbles and the mosaic representations of Greek mythology.
