Constructed in 1972 by the civil engineer Babis Vovos, this 12-floor building stands as a notable architectural landmark in the area of Ampelokipoi. With a groos floor area of 1.206 square meters and a sprawling plot area of 11.682 square meters, the structure boasts a basement, ground floor but also the building’ unique feature lies in the joining of two parts seamlessly merged afterwards. A characteristic feature of the building is its wavy balconies and is height, placing it among the tallest buildings of Athens. The first four levels are leased by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, housing crucial departments such as the General Directorate of Adinistrative Services & Legislative Work, the Directorate General for Electronic Government & Spatial Information, and the Directorate-General for Spatial Planning. This multi-functional structure not only serves as a government hub but also accommodates a diverse mix of ministry offices and private residences, embodying a harmonious blend of public and private living spaces.
